At Divine Saviour School, we aim to develop pupils who will have an understanding of places and environments both close to home and abroad. It is our intent that every pupil at our school will be given the opportunity to attend an off-site visit to a local and a national place of interest during their time with us. They will also be ready to transition to secondary school with the skills necessary to take their learning to the next level. The aims of our Geography curriculum are to develop pupils who:

- gain a knowledge of the location of globally significant places both land and seas

- can define physical and human characteristics

- can collect, analyse and communicate using a range of data

- can interpret a range of sources of geographical information including maps, diagrams, globes, aerial photographs and Geographical Information Systems (GIS)

- can communicate geographical information in a variety of ways including through maps, numerical and quantitative skills
