House Saints
At Divine Saviour we work really hard to show that we are learning to live like Jesus through Love, Truth and Understanding.
We are all in House Teams (staff included) and can earn House Points for working and behaving to the best of our ability. Across the year we also compete in inter house competitions and take part in Mrs Wilson's challenges to earn house points for our team.
In September 2019 we renamed our school houses, to ensure that they reflected a range of holy men and women whose lives can serve as inspiration to all of us. In preparation for this, our Year 5 pupils spent time in class considering a range of candidates for this honour. In a special assembly, they shared with the rest of the school their findings. The school then voted in the new house saints: St Maximilian Kolbe, St Oscar Romero, St Teresa of Calcutta and Blessed Mary of the Apostles.
Each year, two House Captains are voted in to represent each of our 4 houses.
This year, our House Captains are:
Blessed Mary |
George and Chloe |
St Teresa |
Chloe and Joshua |
St Oscar |
Ethan and Ciaran |
St Maximilian |
Scarlett and Finn |
